Today, I’ll show you 4 of the best exercise programs for keto you can do for free online right now.
I love to help my fans by answering your questions especially as we go through this COVID-19 pandemic. Sarah M. asked “It’s really difficult to get a good workout in because of the gym closings due to COVID-19. What are some good in-home workouts?”
Let’s dive right into some of the best exercise programs on keto you can do online for free from home.
If you’re looking for a holistic approach one of my friends, Adrienne Harvey from GiryaGirl is doing a free “Best 30 days course” that has bodyweight exercises, mobility work, along with tips on productive and finding some balance in your life.
I would definitely recommend checking that out if you’re looking for a holistic way to make the best of the next 30 days.
I’m really enjoying Julie Marie’s Couch to Confidence yoga series on Amazon Prime. This is a great two-week long yoga series for beginners. Each video is 20 to 30 minutes long and focuses on different areas of your body and yoga practice.
The series starts out very simple with strengthening your core and spine that are so important for stability. Julie then moves into sun salutes and other yoga basics each day.
My favorite video is the form rolling on day 9. This video does a great job of releasing muscle tension in your legs similar to what you would get from a massage.
Since Amazon Prime is a service that many of us have already so you don’t have to sign up for anything new and it’s easy to stream on my TV so I can how each of the postures is done properly.
Julie Marie also has more advanced videos for you experienced yogis out there.
Another great alternative is CorePower Yoga’s free online videos. I really enjoy their C1 (beginner class). They also have more intermediate and advanced classes as well.
The big downside to CorePower’s free online yoga series is that they offer very few classes for free. While those classes are good, they get repetitive quickly.
Nike Training Club is free for the next 90 days. You can sign-up without having to enter credit card information so you don’t have to worry remembering to cancel if you don’t like it so you don’t get charged.
I haven’t gotten a chance to try many of their workouts, but I’ve heard positive reviews from a number of friends.
They have a wide variety of both bodyweight and cardio work-outs that you don’t need any equipment for and even have routines designed for very small spaces.
The big downside is the workouts are primarily delivered through their Apple or Andriod app. This makes it hard to follow the exercises, especially if it’s a particular exercise you haven’t done before.
Another option is Daily Burn. They also have a number of good bodyweight and cardio workouts.
You’re able to stream their workouts on Apple TV, Roku, and Chromecast so if you have one of those devices you can put on your TV to see each exercise better.
They also offer a live class every day at 9am Eastern Time, which I think it awesome right now because I really enjoy going to the gym and working out in-person at least once a week. This about as close to being in-person as we can get right now.
Biking is an outstanding way to get a low-impact workout.
Peloton has gotten rave reviews from their customers for both their bikes and their classes. I personally haven’t gotten a chance to try it, but this would be a perfect time.
Right now Peloton is offering a free 90-day trial of their premium online classes.
The only downside is that Peloton is a big investment right now.
Another more affordable option is Cardio Cast. All you need is a stationary bike. They have a number of different biking courses to keep you engaged.
If you have a treadmill, they also offer running programs.
They only downside is that they only offer a 7-day free trial.
Exercises you should avoid
You should avoid any exercise that causes you pain.
There’s a difference between discomfort/ soreness and pain. Pain is your body’s way of telling you something is wrong. Listen to your body when you start to feel pain. Don’t make shout at you.
If you’re in pain during the exercise give yourself permission to stop!
Exercise comes in my different shapes and forms. You should pick the form of exercise that works well for you and where you’re at right now.
That might mean just going for a walk.
Below is a Pinterest friendly photo…so you can pin it to your keto board!
